Senda Verde has been closed to visits since March 2020, as a bio-security measure in face of the current health situation. However, rescued wild animals have not stopped arriving to the wildlife refuge.

On May 29th, a male juvenile Puma called Vejpa, arrived being only 11 months of age.  Today he is doing much better, he has learned how to jump, that there are different levels and that not everything is flat; he has gained muscle mass and weight. This week we will be building his enclosure, we would like to thank Corinsa for donating metallic mesh.

Yesterday, on June 18th, 15 different river turtles and 6 parrots arrived from Oruro. We are still waiting on the photos.

Since the quarantine began, almost three months ago, Senda Verde has not been able to generate income from visitors. The only way we will be able to continue providing food and medical attention to the animals, is through donations. We appreciate greatly your support.
